In the 1911 census James and all his 10 children are
living at house 68, East St Newtownards.
The mystery arises from the fact that the form states James and Maggie (Margaret Philips
his second wife since 22 8 1896) have been married 23 years and that Maggie has borne 10
children born alive and all still living. As this covers the period since the marriage of
James and Anna Hedley and accounts for all the children it is obviously quite wrong and
dear knows why they have entered it on the form

I was looking at your site http://www.derek-beattie.comxa.com/
(This has changed to www.newtownards.info) and
noticed that you have a listing of my ancestors (see below)
Ellen Carse is my great grandmother, she married my grandfather Alexander Robb and had 7
children. I believe she may have died in childbirth while delivering my grandfather Henry
Robb.
I was wondering if you could tell me any more about where you got the info and if you know
anything about Margaret Orr? I believe her father may have been David Orr but that is as
for as I have got! Any help would be really appreciated!
