Recent e.mail June 2014 = Can anyone help ------  I descend from William McRoberts Sr and his wife Ann Moore of Ballyoran, Dundonald Parish, Co.Down Ireland.
William Sr was born 1798 and died 1881 in Ballyoran, Dundonald.  He is buried in the St Elizabeth Church graveyard (aka Dundonald Church of Ireland graveyard) along with his wife, Anne Moore McRoberts.   William Sr. was the son of John McRoberts (1760-1847) and Margaret McLean McRoberts (1763-1811).  They are also buried in the same graveyard.  Ann (or Anna) Moore McRoberts lived 1800-1858.  Her father's name was John and I do not have her mother's name at this time.  The St Elizabeth Church is still standing, however a newer structure has been built next door where it has become a very vibrant Presbyterian Church.
William and Ann's son William Jr. came to America aboard the ship KOREA in 1849 along with his younger brother Robert.  William J McRoberts Jr was born 1824 and died in Cincinnati Ohio in January 1876.  He married Mary Harriet Conway (Ulster Irish)  in Cincinnati in the Presbyterian Church in 1850.  She died about 1864-65.    On the same ship with William and Robert were the McAnaulty family.   William J McRoberts Jr was my great great grandfather through his son, Gavinus William McRoberts.
William's brother John came over to Cincinnati in the 1870's.  John (b. 1825) had married Jane McAnulty in the Newtontard Presbyterian Church.  They migrated eventually to Chicago Illinois, where they died.
There was a sister, Anna, who married William McKee in the same church as John and Jane, but I cannot find more information at this time.
I can provide a few more details if you like, but I am also looking for other relatives of the McRoberts family that might help me fill in a great many holes.  I believe there were more brothers and sisters, but I don't know who they would be. - Thank you, Lynnmarie Dixon - Oregon, USA -
