My Mother
30th. March 1924 ~ 4th. December 1959

She had a short life im afraid, breast cancer took her at the age of 32 most unfair.. although i must admit she was more a Jamison than a Beattie and a member of a quite close family,..

We lived for a while in Ballygarvigan just outside Portaferry, i went to Primary School in Portaferry

Another angle,. i remember we had an elderly neighbour who used to make coffee from beans she ground herself, we would visit as kids and sample said beverage with great pleasure,. the aroma spread the full length of the hamlet.

Directly ahead led to Cloughy and left took on the main coastal road to Newtownards,.
