Below is a part of the e.mail Sheilagh sent.
The second picture - the wedding is kind of a mystery.  It came from my grandparents' album and my Mother told me it was a Smyth wedding.  The mother of the bride on the right is apparently my grandfather's sister Elizabeth (Lizzie) Smyth Carnduff.  She always thought the daughter's name was Greta, however I have no record of a Greta, so again, I'm puzzled.  The tall man in the back row behind the groom certainly looks like a younger version of my Grandpa, but it would be great if some of my long, lost relatives in Newtownards would recognize this picture and help me out (that is, if there are any there anymore).

Below is an e.mail from Patricia Osborne in Newtownards

My name is Patricia Osborne and I have just seen your wedding photo of a Newtownards couple.  I can confirm that this is a wedding photo of Betty (Elizabeth Carnduff) and Jack Moore in 1947.  You are correct that the lady with the whilte gloves beside the bride is Lizzie Carnduff.  She was Lizzie Smyth who married a Mr Johnston and had one son David.  Following Mr Johnston's death she married a Mr Carnduff and had three further children - Billy (William) Samuel and Betty (Elizabeth).  All of her four children are now deceased.  Betty and Jack Moore had three sons Ian, Peter and Gordon.
  I also know that Lizzie Carnduff had a brother called Geordie and she had relatives in Canada.

The bridesmaid in the photo was called Nan Gunning and was a girlfriend of the bride.  I don't know who the gentleman behind the groom is.
The man between the bride and Lizzie is Lizzie's son Samuel and the other man beside her is her son Billy. The Gretta referred to is probably my mother (Gretta Wilson) who was a lifelong friend of both Lizzie and Betty.  I am enlosing a further wedding photo {see below} and my mother is the oine on the bride's left (white flower on hat).  At that time she was expecting me.
Betty and Jack Moore had various businesses in Newtownards including a bakery, restaurant and a china shop. I think that Betty visited her relatives in Canada and on that visit also visited relatives of mine in Hamilton. {Ontario}
I hope this information is of interest to you.

Jim Tate also added the name of the groom and his parents for the pic above
