Matthew Whitla appeared in court and was fined 20 shillings with 11 shillings and 6 pence costs for assaulting William McCullough on 12th. September

James Whitla appeared in court charged with assaulting James McClean outside McGradys Pub, Whitlas woman, not wife ... appeared and encouraged James Whitla to "Go ahead  or i'll fight him myself" - The pair followed James McClean to Russell Place where a friend gave hin shelter.  Whitla, a regular offender was jailed for 1 month.
