The above lodge held its installation meeting on wednesday evening Brother T.R. Lavery
J.P. presiding,. After some routine business had been transacted the presiding officer
installed the officers for 1912 as follows;
W.M. James Jamison - D.M. James M. Cherry - Secretary James Wright P.M. - Treasurer James
McWhinney P.M. - 1st. committeeman Samuel H. Black - Tyler James Robinson - Lodge was then
closed in due form "God save the King"
Ater the lodge meeting a social was held Bro. T.R. Lavery presiding. Songs were rendered
by Bros. Hugh McWhinney, Collins, Cooke and John W. Gordon, speeches were made by Bros.
David O'Prey D.D.M., Hugh Lavery D.T., James Jamison W.M. of 1501, Joseph Robinson W.M. of
481, John Moore P.M. of 862 Conlig, Hugh Dalzell P.M. and Hugh Ferguson of L.O.L.1951
Bowtown.
The most important item of the evening was the presentation of a Past Masters Certificate
to Bro. James Wright, Bro.
Bro. Lavery in a very able speech bore testimony to the services rendered to the Orange
Institution by Bro. Wright who had not only occupied the chair of the lodge for 2 years
but had also acted as secretary to the lodge for 18 years.
Robinson, James - 19th. November 1914 aged 60 - {b.c1854} - @ 3 Mill Street - Many years in the employment of the Urban District Council and for 33 years Tyler of L.O.L.1501
1915 - Thomas R.Lavery J.P. of "Lakeview" was also the District Master
